Seating Plaza Underway

With Magnolia Square officially named, the mural completed, and the stage cover roof in place, the project has entered its next phase of construction—the corner seating plaza and the completion of the restroom building. This phase is expected to be finished before the end of the year, with a few final touches to follow and a community celebration event to honor all the contributions and hard work behind the project.
The plaza will feature a concrete platform with cafe tables and chairs, a curved seating wall, and dedicated space for the community’s Christmas tree during the holidays. Footers are also being installed for a signature LOVE sign, sponsored by the Junior Woman’s Club, Main Street Buena Vista, and the Buena Vista Police Foundation, which will be installed after the plaza is complete.
Together, these additions build on the momentum of Magnolia Square’s transformation—further shaping a welcoming functional, and vibrant public space in the heart of downtown Buena Vista.
