Statement from the Office of the City Manager

The safety of our pool patrons and employees is our highest priority.

During periods of high attendance, there will be times when admissions must be temporarily paused because the pool has reached its maximum safe capacity. These decisions are made solely for the safety of everyone at the facility—not to inconvenience our residents or visitors. Because attendance changes constantly as people enter and leave, it is not possible to predict exactly when capacity will be reached or when admissions will resume.

We understand these temporary delays can be frustrating. However, City employees and seasonal staff are simply carrying out their responsibility to keep everyone safe. Verbal abuse, threats, or harassment directed toward our staff are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. 

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone at the Buena Vista Community Pool.
