Buena Vista Outdoor Spaces Committee Announces “Make a Splash” Pool Pass Sponsorship Campaign
June 5, 2026
Buena Vista, VA (June, 2026) – The Buena Vista Outdoor Spaces Committee has officially launched their “Make a Splash” program, a community fundraising campaign aimed at ensuring local children can enjoy a summer at the pool regardless of financial circumstances.
The initiative seeks to raise $12,500 to provide summer pool passes for 100 Buena Vista Children whose families may need assistance covering the cost of admission. Organizers hope the campaign will bring together businesses, organizations, and community members to help make summer recreation accessible for every child.
For many children, summer at the pool means staying active, spending time with friends, and creating lasting memories. However, for some families, the cost of a pool pass can be a barrier. Through the Make a Splash campaign, the Outdoor Spaces Committee hopes to remove that barrier and ensure more local children have the opportunity to enjoy Buena Vista’s community pool this summer.
To help achieve its goal of putting 100 kids in the pool this summer, the Buena Vista Outdoor Spaces Committee is seeking support from businesses, organizations, and community members. The Make a Splash campaign is designed as a true community effort, bringing neighbors together to help ensure that every child has the opportunity to enjoy a fun, active, and memorable summer.
