DESCRIPTION:The November General Election Day occurs on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. \nElection Day is Tuesday\, November 3\, 2020\nThe polls are open from 6:00am – 7:00pm.\nPolling Place:  2039 Sycamore Avenue\, Buena Vista\, VA 24416\nCurbside Voting is available at all voting precincts on Election Day.\n SAMPLE BALLOT\n \nIMPORTANT DATES:\nThe Voter Registration Deadline: October 13\, 2020 \nAt Registrar’s Office – 5:00pm  *Check operating hours for DMV or other state designated voter registration agencies authorized to receive voter registration applications.\nBy mail – Postmarked by October 13\, 2020.\nOnline Registration via Virginia Department of Elections website – 11:59pm  *Applications that are required to be printed and delivered to the registrar should be treated as regular mailed in applications (postmarked by October 13\, 2020). The October 13\, 5:00pm deadline would apply if they are submitted in-person at the Registrar’s Office.  \nIn Person Absentee Voting Starts: September 18\, 2020  \nLast Day to Submit an Absentee Ballot Application by Mail\, Fax or E-mail: October 23\, 2020\nLast Day to Vote Absentee in Person: October 31\, 2020\nIn Person Absentee Voting will be available Monday thru Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm\, closed 12:30pm – 1:00 pm and will additionally be available Saturday\, October 24\, and Saturday\, October 31\, 2020 from 9:00am – 5:00pm.\nLast Day for Absentee Ballots to be Returned by Mail: Postmarked by November 3\, 2020\n*The Ballot can also be returned in person at the Registrar’s office but only by the voter. \n**Ballots must be returned to the locality from which they were mailed out.
